Base Dyno Numbers for ZL1

Just had my Z on the dyno this morning ready to get some work done. I will post video later, but it was consistent with Lingenfelter's numbers. 518 HP and 497 ft/lbs torque. Its a manual car, with about 2k miles on it.

WOOOOOO......That is plum scary. Congrats! Question, I have noticed with my ZL 1, at 25mph, if I floor it, there is some slippage of the rear tires. I can see the black marks in the rear view mirror. I thought the computer was supposed to prevent that. Do I have something not operating correctly?

OMG! I thought I was going to wet my pants at 1:09 when it kicked in! What a rush!

2010 Stock IBM 2SS/RS

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

Yeah...thats an unfortunate problem we have to deal with driving 580+hp cars...Sure is fun though...Reminds me of the first time I took my brother for a ride in my C6-Z06 and did the same thing, with no clutch action at all. He dropped is water, the change flew out of his pocket... and is jaw just hit the seat...

Keep in mind, even if one of the PTM modes are active, the computer will still allow for a certain amount of tire spin. Each mode has different algorithms that measure and react to a number of different parameters.

Thanks for the info. Mine does not do it every time. Guess it depends on many variables, ie: ambient temp, octane chosen, road surface, tire temp., etc.
