Issues with 5 spoke upgrade ZL1 rims

Has anyone noticed any black spots on the leading edges of their bright 5 spoke ZL1 rims (all of them)? I noticed it the other day and thought it was brake dust, but after a thorough cleaning (wheel cleaner, pressure wash, and hand soap/water wash). It looks like little black spots, feels like little holes.

Greetings DJ-Silver 2SS,

Sorry about the spots you're noticing on your rims. That sounds rather displeasing. Please keep us updated regarding this on whether you get it fixed or not.

I've been up to the local dealership and the gm and owner saw the rims. They were looking into it, but I've heard nothing yet. I was hoping to hear something from my fellow ZL1 owners and Chevrolet. Thanks for the look and let me know if anyone has heard anything.

I prefer the stock ZL1 rims myself.

I saw the 5 spoke on another white ZL1 last year and didn't care for the look.

Issues with 5 spoke upgrade ZL1 rims

I'm having the same issue with my 2011. The spots are on all the wheels and spokes. Taking to the dealer for the GM rep to look at in the AM. I'll post my results.
