After reading the story on various other sites I think the guy was originally asking for too much. It would be ridiculous for the dealer to pay off his old car plus give him a new one for free. Paying off his old car, and giving him a good discount on a new 2013 or 2014 is the proper way and obviously that's what he got in the end as he had to settle for it after he couldn't make a deal that would have been ridiculously too much in his favor. Also as far as mods on his car and the dealer paying to have them replaced, he has already gotten a bunch of vendors to give him free mod parts. It's a horrible story & glad there was a good resolution.

I would have preferred for the employee who drove off in the car to get charged with grand theft and put in prison. That moron didn't have to pay a dime.

Its not unfair for the dealer not to pay off his car and get him into a new ZL1 with no out of pocket expenses for the owner other than continuing with the same amount of monthly payment and terms he had on his old one. They should even throw in the mods and attorney costs he had for this unneccesary agrivation.

The Dealer assumed all the responsibility when they refused to charge the employe with theft of the car!
