Gauging Interest: Who Wants to Save $3K on a New Camaro?

Or any other GM car for that matter.

I am currently on an indefinate lay off from a closed facilitry. I am fast approaching the deadline to accept a buy-out package from GM.

Part of the incentive is a $25,000 car voucher. Taxes will already have been paid & the face value is $15,500. It will be valid for 18 months.

This voucher is transferable & I am looking to sell it for $12,500. I am allowed to sell it, I just can't do it on e-bay or any "public" auction site.

Make your best deal, present the voucher & get $15,500 off the price.

Again, all taxes will have been paid. It is deducted from the voucher before I receive it. Hence the $15,500 face value of the $25,000 incentive..

OK: I have received a PM expressing interest.

I will get some paperwork to show the transferability of these vouchers & it will be avilable via PM.. This will take a day or 2.

This is a process that will take several weeks after I sign the paperwork on 7/24/09.

If you are in a hurry, don't bother, but this is a ligit deal & If you have the patience it will pay off.

I would suggest that you might also contact your dealer of choice for more info.

This might end being quite a deal for someone.

Please post the paperwork showing this is transferable in the thread. Thanks

I have already received 2 PMs now.

I will post what info I can about transferability.

Since this has garnered sufficient interest in such a short time, it has helped me decide to take the buy-out as this voucher was a large part of the $$$$$ incentive.

Those that have cars on order may not be able to take advantage of this but you can always get on the list.

This will take @ least 4-5 weeks, maybe more. If you are on the list & your car comes in before the voucher, the next guy in line gets dibs.

Just for for an idea of the viability of these vouches, some dealers are offering $.80 on the $$ for these. That's darned close to the $12,500 asking price.

I would rather see an indiviual save the $$$$ as see a dealer put an aditional $3K in his pocket.

Since I am new here you can check my cred out on the following forums.

Do a search for PowerWagon896

Here is why I do not have an interest in a new car right now.

1st vid is on motor, 2nd vid is W/a 125 shot that ran out on me in the traps costing me @ least 1/10.

Not bad for a 4200# car/driver that is a daily driver eh?
