Electronic Limit Top Speed?

Sorry if this has already been asked but I did a search in the forum and didn't find it, plus remember I'm a Newbie

Specs on the 5th Gen indicate top speed is electronically limited to 155. Can I assume there will be a chip or tuning option to override this limiter?

The body is gorgeous but I assume also there is a drag limit a bit higher on the speed scale...

Yes, there will be tuning options to raise the limit....within the safety parameters of your tires, hopefully.

Is there a need to go past 155?!?! You won't be able to outrun a nuclear bomb or a zombie apocalypse so I don't see the point.

Well... probably not, but its sort of a principle of the thing; when a car looks this good and you sink your hard-earned money into it, it doesn't seem right to have an "electronic limit"... they should let the buyer set his own limit

I beg to differ. Zombies don't do well in extreme climates, so the faster you get there the better. Then you just wait them out, which could be 10 years or so, unless they discover how to raise cattle.

Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Car.
