Which Diablo tune should I pick.

I just got my Predator and it has a few tune options. Can I use the 91 Octane tune if I am using 93 Octane. I only use 93 in the car and want to make sure it is compatable with the 91 tune. What are people having the best luck with only using the tunes provided.

I am going to get a custom tune but I am waiting for a few more mods. Thanks guys!

if you use 93 octane gas in the car, you can install the Diablo Tune - that one is made for 93 octane gas...

if you use 91 octane gas, then install the 91 Octane Tune...

You can use a 91 Octane Tune with 93 Octane fuel.

You cannot (well...should not) use a 93 Octane Tune with 91 Octane fuel. You will most likely get piston slap/knock and will probably get higher carbon desposits, and your EGR will fail early.

right, if you load the 91 tune but use 93 gas, it can be considered a "conservative" tune.

the diablo tune has a few more degrees of timing in it that the higher quality 93 gas allows without knock retard.

more timing = more power in this case.

i tried this out, 93 gas with 91 tune, and the car just felt like it was holding back the caged beast inside of it!

I just didn't know what the Best Performance option was for the divice. It said there was a 93 Octane tune so I just guessed it was the Diablo Sport mode. Thanks for confiming this for me guys. My 02 WS6 only had Performance or Stock mode.

This really woke the car up and have been a huge fan Diablo Sport since Hypertech destroyed my transmission in my 02.

hypertech did that to a lot of vehicles from what i here, LOL

i think that is one of the reasons the diablosport doesn't do anything with the transmission yet... they don't want people blowing them up by adjusting something they shouldn't be.

they claim they are hard at work at making a tranny tune for all GM cars, but its been a long wait!!!
