Transmission performance package for $150.00
Tampa Tuning recognizes that the A4 and A6 automatic transmission owners just want their sloppy, slow shifting and sluggish transmissions tuned for a performance feel. For those owners, we designed a transmission only tuning package. We will reduce your vehicles engine and transmission torque management system and re-flash only transmission settings indicated above by *Transmission performance* notation. This will be a very noticeable change in your vehicles performance!

Torque management reduction tune for $75.00
For the drivers that just want a noticeable change in your vehicles performance, and are tired of the 1st to 4th CAGs skip shift, Tampa Tuning will reduce your vehicle’s engine and transmission torque management system and neutralize your CAGs. You will be surprised and pleased with the torque management tune. Many drivers who use their vehicle daily say just turning off the CAGs are worth the price and the extra seat of the pants torque is a bonus.

Email order tunes for $110.00
If you own or have access to HP Tuners software, you can Email your stock .BIN file to Tampa Tuning where it will be reviewed and properly enhanced for a “Email order” tune. Your tune will be enhanced by using HP Tuner tables from our library of modified configurations which have a very similar set up as your make and model vehicle.

I think the SCT allows you to store several tunes, so you should have your stock one in the SCT already, then you would read the one I designed for your PCM and pull it directly from the PCM onto the SCT.

I back up my tunes weekly for guys concerned about warranty work or if their PCM craps out from battery acid.

I dont charge to reload old tunes I have stored. That takes 5 minutes to do.

The price of tuning has gotten out of control around here! Guys are getting $300-$400 for street tuning and twice that for Dyno tuning.

With my backed up files, I use them when I do my Email order tunes.

Thanks for the question, and guys love my L99 tune. Its a new car feeling
Phil

i,m gonna have to hook up with ya about this portable tuning stuff.
i'm in spring hill north of you by brooksville. i've got a L99 with cai, hi-flow cats and corsa cat back. i suppose the tranny tune would be the best thing for me.
i don't have the potable tuner, but i could drive down to tpa in an hour or so.
i'd need a portable tuner if i ever needed warranty work done, right?

I tuned my trans myself. I can not stress how much better the a6 is with a tune. Its worth it alone.

I have a diablo predator and a custom tune(L99) from one of their gurus. It certainly has made the car run ALOT better. However, I know from all I here it's the tcm tune which really wakes up these A6's. Of course there is no tranny tuning with the predator at this time.
Question.
Can I keep the tune I have for the ecm and use your services for the tcm side or would I be starting from scratch?

TampaTuning uses HPTuners (vcmsuite) for the custom tuning... so YOU would have to have hp tuners to be able to install his tune to your car initially... and then you could save it from the car into your SCT programmer...

or, you would need to send him your ECM/TCM modules for him to install the tunes on 'em, then send 'em back to you...

If you have a custom engine tune, you should be able to send it to them and they send you back the tune with just trans changes.

you should be able to send him just your TCM module and have him just tune that with his hptuners software...

that will not affect your ECM engine tune...

No. The answer proir to your question was that OHTEN has the SCT preconfigured tuning system, and I think he was asking about storing multiple tunes in his unit. He wanted to know if he can store his stock tune, and my tune, and although I only use HP Tuners, I think those "box" hand held units store multiple tunes.

Additional what I was communicating is, I store all of the stock tunes from cars I work on. Actually my method of organization is:

1) Create a client folder
2) Download your stock tune and name it stock orginial tune. Never to be touched
3) Rename your stock orginial tune: work tune1.
4) Scan and drive and make enhancements. Name each enhanced tune : work tune 2, work tune 3, work tune 4, etc.... For me, its best because I might make enhancements up to tune 8, but the client like tune 5 the best.
( normally this happens with the automatics.
5) Save the last tune the client drives home with as final tune.
6) I match each scan name with each tune name and save them both to review.

So not only do I store your orginial tune, but I save each tune I enhance. So if you come to me 6 months later and tell me you need the stock tune uploaded because your taking it in for service, it takes a couple minutes to do. Then stop back to have your "final tune" re uploaded when you get the car back.
