First oil change.

So everyone is saying between 50-119 dollars.
Should I use synthetic?
And how many quarts do we take? I have a v6.

The V6 takes 6 qts. I like synthetic. Valvoline meets the same API spec as Mobil 1 and is half the price.

Found this about GM approved oils. The first 16 products on this list meet GM4718M which is what the owmers manual recomends for the V8s.

Dealer gave me my first oil change for free. Service Mgr first stated that due to the synthetic oil the cost would be $80.00, my wife stated that she was told the first oil change would be on the house. He made a few inside calls and gave her a receipt and said have a good day.

Get a 5 quart thing of Mobil 1 at walmart for $22 or so..then a extra quart bottle..then get a Wix (or napa gold) filter for like $5 or so.
Around $30 and do it yourself.
