Tunning Software

Is it possible to tune a car urself using software like HP Tuners?? Im interested in doing it, are there classes u can take?? Im new to this stuff but interested in learning it

Yes, HPT, EFI Live, and others have software & cables to tune/datalog with. Unless you plan on doing multiple tunes or see the need to re-tune multiple times due to a multi-stepped upgrade path, the time you are going to need to invest and the cost may not be worth it....

what if i plan on tunning mutiple cars?? i see HP Tuners has something about Tokens which im confused?

You have to have a "license" for each "tuned" vehicle that you plan on doing. When you buy the software it usually comes with one. You can also buy it in a "tuner" package which comes with multiple licenses or buy individual licenses on top of the one it comes with...

Gotcha ya, and any laptop would work with those softwares?? i guess i would need the cables or adapters also

If you buy HPTuners, I would recommend the PRO edition. It comes with a beautiful logging box and places to plug in more ports (like a wideband).

You should get EVERYTHING you need besides the laptop. You also get 8 credits. Each car is around 2 credits to register, so you should be able to tune about 4 cars.

o ok, so how do the well known tuners out there with shops do it? when they have a ton of cars lol?
