Fuel pump, or or electrical issue?
I have a 97 RS convertible, 3.8 V6 was running a driving fine, the other day I was driving home, and the tach, and speedo needles started to go up and down randomly, also the volt gauge would drop to between 8-12 volts, no higher. I got home, and my husband ran a voltmeter across the battery as it was running, and it was charging fine at 14.5 volts. Now it won't stay running. It will start, and immediately die, we were able to keep it running once with my foot on the gas, but it would not run smoothly, and eventually died again.
Fuel pump? or VATS issue?
