problem with oil temp

so what's wrong with this gauge? Are the orange stripe bars always there or is it because something's wrong? No codes. Sorry about the picture being turned. Its fine on my computer.

I don't even recall seeing that option on my display, how did you get there?

Also, we have almost exactly the same mileage on our cars haha

I'm like you, never seen this information before on the display. I think the two orange stripes are to show "normal" levels of oil temp.

Controls by the left side stalk, I think it s a combination of turn and push a button. Its a horrible design, not intuitive. It goes through several screens of information, then sub choices under them. I have never seen the orange stripes before on any of the engine gauge readouts, I assume its there because the temp doesn't fall in the parameters. Engine oil temp of 104 after a couple minutes of driving cant be right.

You won't! It's not on our 2010's or cars up to '13.... He has a '14 which has a diff display! But you are correct in that the lines indicate the "normal operating range" for the oil temp....

Yes it does I thought I had tried all that on the 'stalk' ... of course I have the gauge pak, so that's where I look

I do like the new display though! I prefer numbers to a needle gauge, especially for coolant and oil temps!

But I ain't givin' up my '10 for nothin'!!

100% agree numbers to a needle comparisons ... IMO the needle blows
