12.23 sec @ 113 mph: Bolt-Ons & Tune Only

Just got back from the local drag strip.... annnndd i beat my best time of [email protected] from last year

i don't have a scanner at home and the iphone camera isn't getting a clear picture of the lousy printed sheet so here is what it says:

R/T........... 0.126
60'............ 1.852
330'.......... 5.152
1/8 ET...... 7.883
1/8 MPH... 90.08
1/4 ET.......12.231
1/4 MPH… 113.18

weather was perfect! it was overcast, 60 degrees out... could not have had better track conditions. but i had to leave early cuz it started to drizzle and they shut down the track until it stopped, so i left and called it a day. only got to make 2 runs ... the other run was [email protected] i'd say those 2 runs and beating my old record was well worth the $20!

i set the stock rear tires to 28psi, they are all filled with nitrogen. one pit stop on the way home at the dealership and they refilled them back up for free.

LSD has fresh oil to lube itself, since i changed it yesterday. and its only been about 250 miles since my first engine oil change.

my tune is set up with the rev limit at 6400rpm which was where my peak hp was at when i dynoed it last year. i had the car in competitive mode and was using the TAPshift (manual mode)

i'm curious to see if this improves any after my Pfadt springs and sway bars go in

i have a good scanner at work, i'll have to scan the time slip there and post it later.

ohh and i have put 150 miles on the car since the catch can installed and i really think it solved my black soot and white smoke problem (tailpipes are still clean and rear bumper isn't covered in the crap! the white smoke hasn't appeared since either) at my next gas fill up i'll check to see how much oil it has caught. this could have played a factor in my times above also since no more oil is getting consumed!!!

EDIT:
I just attached my time slip, and also forgot to mention i was running 104 octane unleaded race fuel... had 1/8 of a tank of 93 when i went, & put 5 gallons of the strong stuff in the tank before running the car... i think it might of helped a little.

I think the manual guys are going to be shocked this year. If your pulling 12.2 with stock tires and no stall your knock knock knocking on 11's door with them.

i know, now that i'm under 12.5 i'm craving that 11 number!!!

the L99s might make less hp, but the speed at which it shifts when doing it correctly in manual mode is much faster than the LS3s... just tap a button and keep the gas pedal planted is all it takes.

maybe a U/D pulley and the springs will get me there... the TC and gears are still a very pricey item to install

WOW!
That's awesome!! Nice numbers!

1.85 60-foot on the stock tires! I love it!

If you did a torque converter, you'll be well into the 11s, but you'd probably also need drag radials for traction.

I am impressed. Now I have a goal to shoot for!

track was sticky

i revved it to 2000 while holding the brake, enough to keep the tires from slipping, then let off right when i saw the green light and punched it, hit all shifts around 63-6400...

i probably couldn't replicate it the 2nd run i hit the rev limiter going from 1st-2nd

The autos aren't seeing the mph comparatively. Just something to keep in mind.

WOW! Nice run. I'm getting the feeling we'll start seeing more time slips in the next few months
