585 rwhp at the track

I'm picking up my camaro from a performance shop in few days and I love taking it to the track but I don't know what to expect. My car ended up with 585 rwhp, and the DA at our local track is usually around 3500. I'll use the stock tires at first, I'll buy DRs in a few months. So what should I expect I'm thinking low to mid 11s on the stock tires... Am I crazy...?

if you run drag radial's you will need the 1000hp axle shafts cuz you will snap the stock ones quick!

did you get the recall done on your driveshaft? that would be a must also, with the power your putting down!

seeing your set up in your sig, i would say mid 11's easy if you launch and shift correctly! low 11's with the drag radials!

100% agree with you about the axle shafts, I plan to change those in the near future.

I did not know there was a problem with the driveshaft, do you know the recall number or date so I can ask my dealer...?

Low 11s would be awesome...

yea you might be in that grey area where yours might or might not have come from the factory with revised output shaft. best thing to do is call your local dealer and ask them, they will need your vin # if they take you seriously. after they give you their opinion it is always good to get a second or even thrid opinion from different dealers!

there was no actual recall...but there were some output shaft 'issues'...all seem to be on vin#'s lower than 27,000...SS/M6.

guys, the results are in...

Density Altitude: 4045 feet
Relative Density: 88.69 %

BEST ET = 12.58 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mthJv0Jdvlk

It was embarrassing...

I just could not get off the line with traction, it was practically impossible.

So what I need now is DRs or slicks, what do you guys recommend...

Thanks!!!
