For one, launch control is on the manual tranny only. You're probably running into the brake override when you hit both brake and gas at the same time. I'll wait for confirmation from others though.

With the auto, hold the brake and give it gas to about where you feel it lock...as you said should be about 1500 rpm. When third yellow lights up, let go of brake and hammer the gas. Then make adjustments from there as you see fit.

probably wont be able to get much more than 1500 without an aftermarket converter...unless there's some super-duper-launch control I'm not aware of.

Thanks for the input.. 1500 rpm was the best I could get..had a great time racing..Lots of fast cars in my class.. It was the 1st year they put this on, so it was a little miss matched...

Another thing to do is when at the Xmas tree preload your suspension, let of the brake slightly and feather your gas you will be able to get it up too about 2000 rpm' but remember a high rpm launch is only as good as the tire you have' and how good u heat it up.

Real cars dont power the front wheels, they lift them.
