High 13's on the 4.6 and 13.0's on an auto 5.0 give or take a tenth or 2.

due to the better weight/power ratio the 5.0 Mustang will win
there are even several test vids from car mags on youtube showing that...

The Mustang has steeper gearing which helps in the 1/4. Change the gears in your car and you will be right with it in the 1/4.

if you are a manual install some 3.73's or 3.70's

if you are a Automatic for track only install some 3.73's or 3.70's however if you drive it on the street and want a mean gear for the street and the track and be VERY noticable install the manuals Factory 3.45's

3.45 in a automatic with a good converter is night and day over the OEM 3.24's

3.73's or 3.70's on the street in a Auto is not something you want to get on the highway with.

Gotta be honest with ya; I've never seen a stock 4.6 GT, stick or otherwise run a sub 14sec. Now the 5.0 on the otherhand... better have your act together if ya wanna tangle with one!
