Unplugging Center Speaker

Anyone unplug their center speaker? I did and JMO i think it sounds alot better. It does not effect OnStar either. Just wondering if anyone else has done this?

Been there done that, like it a lot! At lower volumes it is somewhat soft. But normal to upper levels it is much cleaner, not so "busy" & "muddy" sounding.

Popped the speaker grill off, removed the speaker and disconnected it. Taped some foam around the connector so no rattles, reinstalled the grill, VOILA!

I dont get what unplugging this speak does. Not like your pulling less current to other speakers when its plugged in.

its basically a Center Channel.

Correct. But it is a "muddy" & "brassy" center channel. You just have to do it (and I had to disconnect, reconnect a couple times so I could compare the sound) and listen. It all comes down to preference. Yes the system was a bit "brighter" at lower volumes but it was also very "busy", "muddy" or "brassy" (pick your fav term here) at normal and higher volumes for me....
