Is anyone concerned about the longevity of the Scosche/Alpine dash kits?

I've read about several failures of the Scosche touch screen dash kit. The last think I want to do is to install it and have to pull it back out again in a month or ever.

I have the Scosche unit on order but I'm not sure if I am going to install it right away. I want to see how many more failures there are the latest release.

Can you provide some links to the failures you're talking about? I searched google and came up with nothing about failures on the Scosche kit.

Check out 2011 2012 Camaro ZL1 SS LT Camaro forums, news, blog, reviews, wallpapers, pricing - Camaro5.com there are a few failures on this website. I seen a post where someone had gone through 3 units until he got a good one. That may be on the Camaro5 website also, I don't remember where I seen that for sure.

There may not be as many Scosche kits that have gone bad. The one guy that went through 4 dash kits was actually the Metra kit. There are still failures upon start up, wiring is wrong, can't get some things to work, etc.
