Escort 9500ix or Beltronics

Anyone with a Escort 9500ix or Beltronics have the direct wire smart cord?

If you did where did you mount it? Any pictures would be appreciated.

I'm waiting for the rear view mirror attachment so i can put the 9500ix there instead of on the windshield w/suction cups but haven't seen a good place to put the direct wire smart cord. Was thinking about near the 4-pack aux. guages but not sure how i should attach it there. Don't want to do any drilling etc. if i don't have to. I'll keep trying to find a decent place to put the smart cord.

Go to Radio shack or Wally World, to the elect.., section look for wire loom connectors, I seen a set of black ones that have sticky tape on the ends
I hope that helps for the cord, on the plug in.. use one of the kits you can get at Wally World too, I think theirs more than one type of sig..,lighter housings
you can use under the dash and maybe make a bracket that can attach to the frame around the gauges, so you can pull the cord out when you need to.

Hope that help's, please keep us updated on your progress.

The smart cord is long and it will run along the drivers side A-pillar and inside the front of the head liner coming out down to the rear view mirror attachment for the radar detector. I will look into the Wally world / radio shack suggestions for placement of the mute function switch for the smart cord. Thanks

Did this mod last week. Everything worked out great. Put the mute function switch on the steering column with velcro and is within easy reach to mute the radar detector when going off and i can remove the switch and relocate it to another location if i desire with no permanent damage.
