DRL (fog lights) not turning on, Ever

So i just got the 2012 Camaro, I understand that in the RS edition the "fog lights" are really just your DRL's which sucks in a way but no big deal, the big deal is though that they NEVER come on. I have the light set to "auto" and no matter what I try, they never come on, Even had a friend drive way in fron of me to see if they kicked on once you are in gear or actually driving, no luck. Any ideas? I checked the fuse, all good on that end

Curious...do you have a LT or an SS? If you bought it new...take it back to the dealership for service because I've heard no one complain about that before. Perhaps they didn't connect the wiring to the lights...which is more of a possibility if you have an LT.

Thanks for the response, it is a lt, I will call the dealer tomorrow, maybe I'll look under quick to see if it's something simple. Mainly just wanted to see if it was a common issue. Thanks again.

Was your car ordered or bought off the lot?

Since you own an LT...I would request a build sheet on the car to make sure that it was built as an LT and not an LS...because LSs don't come with the lower fog lights at all but the wiring is there so the upgrade is a quick and easy one for the dealership. However...the LSs don't come RS equipped so it's not likely that it happened...but I would want to double check and be sure if you bought it off the lot.

yeah like all have said those lights should come on in the daylight with just you starting the engine and off when it it dark. Take it back it ain't right. Lets us know how it turns out kind of curious.

Great to hear that it wasn't anything major. Happy modding!
