Question DOT Approved LED Taillights or Sidemarkers?

Does anyone sell Department of Transportation approved LED Tailights or Sidemarkers? Not bulbs, but the whole works with a DOT stamp on them? I just found out mine are not going to pass inspection and, thereby, I'm wondering if such a thing exists before I get to inspection month and have to take them out again. I'll take mine out for inspection and put them back in, if I have to, but I want to know my options. That said, if I get a ticket, they will have to come out for good probably. VA is such a PITA about these things.

Virginia is stricter ... they actually require the DOT Approved stamp on the tail lights (like our OEM) ... seems semi-ridiculous because the lights are definitely bright enough and I'm not sure why it is not based on some sort of light meter or something.

That's the same tail lights I have now and had for over 2 years. I love them for many reasons but guess I'm just lucky that Texas has no restrictions or they don't enforce the rules. I bought mine for the rapid fire tail lights when I brake to wake up "texting" drivers behind me, and it really works!

I went conservative and just got the standard LED tail lights and added a harness for sequential thinking I was safe if I didn't get something like the rapid fire, but then the inspector at my shop said they have to be DOT approved and should be stamped as such. Virginia seems to be a bunch of Nazi's when it comes to anything mod-worthy. I might try to get them through and if they fail, switch them out for an approval, then switch them back again.
