When I get to the employee lot at night to go home at 11:pm, I hit the remote start on the keyring. By the time I walk from the bus to the car I hit unlock to put my lunch bucket in the passenger seat. I walk behind the car to get in and always see the reverse lights on till I key the ignition. I'm thinking they do that to light up the area around the car at night to make it safer for you to find and get in. But I LIKE it!
