2010 Power seats question

I just purchased the leather seats out of a 2010 SS for upgrading the interior in my 69 Camaro with an LS1/6 speed. Question...the seats were shipped with the top part of the front seats leaning forward and the release on the back of the seat will not release to make the seat to position upright....is this back of seat release tab triggered by an electric connection or is it a manual rod attachment (I haven't hooked up any of the wiring yet)? Thanks in advance for your response to my question!

I wonder if they have the seat back moved forward with the electric side button.I believe the backside seat pull is mechanical.

The release for the seat is mechanical and some of them give problems. I have found that if you will pull the release and push forward and backwards you will find out which way is binding the release.
