Advice on LS stereo/speakers?

So I bought a 2014 LS, which I love. Previous vehicles have all had the more premium stereo and speakers, so I didnt really know what a "normal" stereo sounded like in a base model. It's pretty bad. Is there something that can be done to make it sound better? I don't know that I want to change the stereo itself, since there are so many controls built into it, so what are my options? Also, I should mention this would be something I would take somewhere to have done, I am NOT mechanical at all. So please use little words and speak

Start with the front door speakers. Crutchfield is a good place to check.

It is most likely already wired for the premium BA system so you should be able to find an amp/speakers etc to upgrade to easily... Subthump makes very nice components that allow for the upgraded items to be plug-n-play:
