sunroof will not open

Background: 2010 2LT/RS 54,xxx miles

I get in the car today, nice and sunny out, attempt to open the sunroof and it will only go to the vent position. It opens to vent and closes without any issues but when I try to open all the way I get zero movement. I can hear the motor start to try and open for a second but the sunroof does not move. I looked at what I could and can not see anything catching or loose in there. Any ideas out there?

Sal- If I had to guess, you had a cable inside the sunroof break.... It's a common problem with sunroofs in general.

I know you're out of your 36K Mile Warranty, but I'd probably take it to Chevrolet or an Authorized GM Dealer to have them look at it. Sunroofs are NOT Cheap, so you don't want to "anybody" working on it.

Good luck!!
