My car was attacked by bushes last Friday

They were hiding along the median of a main road, in the dark no less, and grew out just enough to scrape the side of my car as I was coming too close to the curb. They made a scary shriek sound (like a banshee) as they scraped the entire length of the driver side of my car. Well, I nearly freaked out. I didn't want to look until the next morning.

Fortunately the scrape was limited to the clear coat. I used a powerball with regular car polish on it for almost 4 hours. You can't see the marks except at certain angles, up close, under fluorescent lighting. I figure if I had some rubbing compound or even Scratch-X, I could have got them all out and in less time. Will revisit next weekend, but like I said there was NO damage to the paint... I feel blessed.

Just curious, what would you guys have done to clean it up?

Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Car.

First I would have pulled my Zippo out and set the bush on fire...then go do something about the scratch.

Nah but my bodily fluids from me promptly relieving myself on it would make it kinda hard to ignite afterwords.
