Rubber smell ?

My 2013 SS developed a mild burnig rubber smell [ current Mi. 1800} about a month ago.NO, it's not from the obvious ! Mostly when after idling Or after " Hill Hold" Been on many long trips w/ no prob's & engine temp is always in the lower green zone.I get it from the cabin w/ windows up or down. But I don't feel it's from the front, more so the rear.I'm gonna keep driving till it wets the bed,As I have no doubdt the Dealer will say That's normal.I have a ZL-1 shifter [ waste of money] ZL-1 air filter [ More wasted money] & Borla exhaust [ not a waste] The exhaust is not making contact w/ anything. P.S. , G.M. Performance parts are a scam !! Any Help would be appreciated. SGT. Rudz.

Had the same problem on my HHR, looked forever and never found anything till I put it on a lift. Found where a white plasic bag (always blowing in the wind) had just touched the inside edge of the cat, and that was enough for the burning smell. Now this went on for about six months before it left. All I saw on the cat was a small black mark the size of a cigarette, very easy to miss when looking.

Thanks JWD. I shoulda put it up on my buddy's lift before bugging forum members, just like I shoulda thought of that myself ! Always look for the simple things 1st.After seeing yours & other SS'es w/the Rally stripes,I really regret not getting red ones for my black SS.I'm sure I can find aftermarket ones cheaper anyways.
