Want a Camaro with a Bed? GM Renews El Camino Trademark!

Do you have a Camaro and a pick-up for hauling plywood and the like? Well GM may have the car that combines them both into one! Well not exactly, a car, not exactly a truck either, actually, it's an El Camino! GM has filed paperwork to renew the trademark on the storied name.

The Camaro and it's deceased sibling, the Pontiac G8 are based on Australian Holden Commodores which are available as "utes". Before the financial crisis hit, GM was planning on brining the Commodore Ute to North America as the G8 ST.

Now it seems it may come as an El Camino. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that the G8 sedan is back next year as the Chevrolet SS sedan. So we want to know WHO DO WE GIVE OUR MONEY TO!?!?!?!

I would love to see the El Camino return, I had four different El Camino's over the years as company cars and loved every one of them.

Don't care much for the front end on this one though!

Had a 65, black and lowered, real sweet. Wish I still had it. I would like to see them come out with a hot new Camino.

I have a 80 Caballero that I've shown the last couple years. Sorry I don't know how to attach photos with this post.
