Camaro Outsells Mustang in 2012
In 2012, Chevy
sold 84,391 Camaros. That is 1,396 more than the 82,995 Mustangs that were sold by Ford
in the same period of time. While this victory is only by 1.7 percent, it is still a win.
This margin is however down from last year, when GM sold more than 18,000 more Camaros than Ford sold Mustangs. Now 2013 means the Camaro 1LE will be in showrooms, and the final year of Mustang Boss 302 production. What will this do to sales figures?
Chevrolet also now sells a Hot Wheels Edition Camaro that makes the child inside everyone throw a tantrum, because they want the car so badly. Many potential Mustang shoppers may also be holding off, until the redesign comes out in 2014.
