GM quietly revealed when the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will make its debut.

In announcing its dedication to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay technologies, the American automaker said that the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will make its debut on June 24 and will be one of 14 Chevrolet models to include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Chevrolet promises to remain committed on providing 'the smartest, simplest connected driving experience possible to owners across the globe.'

Models equipped with Chevrolet’s seven-inch MyLink infotainment system will give owners access to both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the eight-inch MyLink will only be compatible with Apple CarPlay at the beginning of the 2016 model year. The company said that Android Auto compatibility may be available on the eight-inch model later in the 2016 model year.

The new level of smartphone integration will be available to Chevrolet customers in markets around the world including Brazil, Mexico and Canada. Android Auto will require a phone running Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system or above while Apple CarPlay will require an iPhone 5 or above.

The following models equipped with a seven-inch MyLink infotainment system will be compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay starting the 2016 model year:
