What cars did you grow up around?

I grew up in a mostly Ford family.

Grandparents drove Tauruses and Lincoln Town Cars.

My dad was a sales manager at the local Ford dealer for several years, but I don't remember it much cuz he quit there when I was 3.

The first cars I remember are a blue 1980 Citation which burnt to the ground when a fuel line broke, and then a white 1981 Citation which replaced it.
After that... 1984 Cougar, 1979 Mustang, 1987 Thunderbird, 1989 Taurus.

Then my dad started driving Lincoln Town Cars...
1989, 1991, 1994, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, and now a 2006 (overall he's had 20 Town Cars lol).
During that time my mom had a 1995 Cougar, then a 1998 Mark VIII, and now a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S.

However the tide is changing!
Last spring my dad bought a new 2006 Corvette, and my mom just ordered a 2007 Cadillac SRX. With my mom having a 7-passenger vehicle, my dad wants to get a smaller, sportier sedan. Right now he thinks he wants a Jaguar, but I'm trying to talk him into a Saturn Aura or a new CTS.

My GM influence is rubbing off on them finally!

My grandparents on one side had 2 Olds Cutlesses. The Other side had 2 Chevy Trucks. My dad had Chevy trucks and my mom drove plymouths until she moved into caddys when I got out of highschool.

um.. pretty much all of the above....

first family car i can remember is a 79 Ford Fairmont wagon.. another Ford in the family was my brother's 70s poo brown v6 mustang.. and he owned an orange fox body stang later on...another brother had a Probe for a while i think... there have been Dodges (St. Regis), Buicks (Electra, Century), Chevys (Lumina, Citation, Corsica).. My dad had a Datsun (aka Nissan) for a while... and we also had a VW Rabbit (for some reason i liked this car a lot back in the day)... oh yeah, we had an old Oldsmobile as well
.. another Olds from the late 80s.... Saturn.. hmm...

so yeah.. generally my family has been mostly domestics.. though we've owned a couple imports over the years... i think my dad is mostly a GM fan though.. he's got an 04 Malibu Maxx now.. currently my brothers have Saturns, and Fords.. sister has a Hyundai (boy did i rip on her for getting that pos).. her kids have a Dodge, Chevy, another Chevy..

crap sorry about that.. my mind is just rambling on right now with memories of family automotive history

My dad owned a couple SS Impalas. We had a couple Ford Vans and a 1970? Caprice.

The Caprice was an ex police car with a 402. Dad would pile us all in and bury the speedo on trips to the store. Mom sold it just before I got my license because she visioned me making 140 mph trips to school in it. My first car ended up being a 1981 Camaro.

The neighbors around us were Ford fans: a couple Mach 1s, Boss 302 and 429 Mustangs and a beautiful blue Shelby GT 500.

The GT 500, a Mach 1, old Ford PU, Galaxy 500 with a 427 and strangely a Stringray 'Vette used to be sitting in a barn about a mile from where I grew up. There are still old farmers who store expensive cars in even older barns.
