The Shifty Doctor and Hurst are at it again!
52 units made...wonder why? One per week for a year?
Hurst Performance has partnered with legendary automotive guru "Doc" Watson to create a pair of special edition 2010 Hurst/Pontiac H.O. models based on the G8 and the G6 convertible.
Only 52 examples of the modern-day "Executive Hot Rods" are scheduled for production at Hurst's southern California headquarters. They will feature the brand's well known white/gold and black/gold color schemes.
They also wear forged Hurst wheels, the requisite Hurst shifter, suspension upgrades, and a supercharger under their hoods. A full interior redo is on the spec sheet as well.
Over his 50-year career in the automotive world, Watson has created some impressive vehicles, most notably the original Hurst Oldsmobile, the Hemi-Under-Glass, and the 1972 Hurst Pontiac SSJ.
Seeing as Pontiac's about to ride off into the sunset, the Hurst G8 especially could end up being a hot commodity in future years. On August 1, full specs, pricing, and availability information will be posted, so stay tuned.
