My neighbor is selling a 92 Caprice with a rebuilt motor and TONs of new parts. The body and headliner and basically interior is crap. do you think it would make a goood project car? its only $500 and im sure it COULD be bad ass if i used my imagination.... so ....
YES or NO?
also pm me links or post here if you know good sites
We have a Buick Roadmaster. In case you didn't know Impala SS, Caprice and Roadmaster are B Bodies. If the interior is shot and you want to make the cars interior more luxurious don't rule out picking up seats from a roadmaster. I think these car are easy to work on. Hell the entire front cap (core support and inner fenders) can be unbolted. Here is a good site for B bodies http://www.impalassforum.com/cgi-bin...i?action=intro
5.7L V8. It Was A Old Deputy Car.
Original Paint (Im Painting it Saturday Will Be Black)
Then Im Gonna Find A Shop that will Take My Back Bench And Front Buckets And Add Black Leather Instead of Cloth.
Then While Im Waiting On The Seats I Am going To Install A HUGE Bumper protector (Like They Have Now On Most Cops), Reinstall the Search Light,
And Install The new Sat. Radio. So It Will Be Finished in under a Month

He said its a rebuilt motor so no need to look for stock stuff. The cruisers are a good place to start. They usually have beefier suspension, and they have 2 extra body mounts over an Impala SS (common swap for an SS is adding these extra body supports from cruisers. Drop it a tad add the SS grille Wheels (widened in the back if you can swing it) and spoiler (not to try to pass as an SS unless ya want to but the SS gear IMO look much better). If its a DD I wouldn't go overboard with mods just a good exhaust with headers and better intake tract will add more power but should also improve gas mileage provided you can keep your foot out of it. Another common interior swap is Bonneville seats ( don't know why but its common to alot of SS owners).
