Anyone from Philly?

I have a potential job opportunity there...I'm wondering what it's like basically...Weather, people, schools, etc.

The closer it gets the more and more it looks like I'll be in Philly by October. Any information anyone has could be helpful and would be appreciated.

I had some friends at Penn State who were from there -- Norristown to be precise. I visited once with them and it seemed alright, but I didn't really have much experience with the city.

You'll have some of the Italian Guido crowd, though.

Philadelphia here. What part were you thinking of moving to? I have been with the police department here for 20 years. So I should be able to help you out some.

i live in the suburbs of Philly in south jersey, Philly is nice in October a harvesty spring like weather depending on the year, as far as the eagles, well, we could go ALL day talkin about that, so that's for another day, but as far as a place to live, it really does depend on exactly what section of the city or what suburb. statistically Camden, NJ was considered to be one of the worst crime rated cities in the nation and it's only a 10-15 min drive from the least crime rated and most wealthy suburb in the nation i believe that's Moorestown; although i could be mistaken on the name. reguardless its a great area but just like any major city a bit tightly packed.

Awesome. I don't know what part yet. I'll be working at 200 Chestnut. My wife will be working in Bensalem. What would you recommend? We really don't want to take a gamble and sign a lease and find out it's in the ghetto.
