54TV Episode One

OK, so ever since the garage burnt and I tore it down, I have had some extra wood lying around.

I have thought about throwing it away for sometime, but I just couldn't.

What you see in front of you are the 2x12s that made up the header of the garage doors. The rest are 2x6s that were the rafters of the garage.

Depth

Width

Pre-drilling the top for the box that I building for the legs.

Bottom box for legs awaiting 3" and 4" screws

Screwed and Glued

Lying on its back.

Detail.

Weighing the top.

Kicking it like a Cockroach.

Treating the top with oil. Apparently, Used Cadillac Tranny fluid is the best to use; just so happen, I had 6 quarts.

I needed some help, so these guys showed up. They explain the "foggy" pics.

It feels good to make something useful out of a bad situation.

Legs will be on next week with some bracing.

THanks guys.

Yeah I am trying to find a 12" Milton, but they are close to $600-$800.

The workbench is about 10" deeper than your standard workbench. I did this so when I have my Miter saw on it, that the wood stock does not interfere with any of the other workbenches or anything on the tops of them.
