Dell

I like Dell computers and we currently have 2, BUT does anyone that works for Dell speak ENGLISH? Why is it everytime I call I get a guy with a middle eastern accent that is very hard to understand????

I called GM customer service 2 weeks ago. I know I was redirected to India.

Call centers are often outsourced anymore.

Dell's tech support is outsourced to India. I saw a documentary on how the workers are trained, they trained to be "American". An insult to be sure. They are given a new name, taught to try to loose their accent. If I remember correctly they train for nearly 2 months.

Being in IT, I see this all the time. I'm lucky, we are an IBM shop where I work, all of their tech that I've delt with is in the US.
