Thanks everyone for taking a look at the photos. This was my first real experience with action moving at this rate of speed. I learned a lot about panning and tracking (like its **** hard to do through a view screen... my camera doesn't have an eye piece). I also got a good feel for how much lens I will need for this type of photography once I finally get a DSLR.

I guess I have my parents to thank for my eye for composition... my Dad was a hell a sketch artist (one of the few people I've ever met that would sketch in ball point pen), my Mom is a fair artist in her own right and got me involved in art at a very early age and continued to encourage all means of artistic expression though out my childhood.

i've had a hard time taking pics of planes... i've usually got an eye for comp as well, just not so hot on the timing.. hoping to get a DSLR myself sometime soon.
