Unhappy Cash for Clunkers - R.I.P. 1,576 F-bodies

1,007 Camaros and 569 Firebirds met their deaths in the cash for clunkers program.

On the plus side, 1,611 Mustangs also met their death.

Some cars turned in that don't make any sense to me...

2006 Cadillac STS (WTF!)
2007 GMC Acaida - 3 of them!
1987 Buick GNX (OMG WHY?)
1992 GMC Typhoon
1989 20th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am
1985 Maserati Quattroporte
1997 Bentley Continental R

Full list: http://www.cars.gov/files/official-i...n-vehicles.pdf

Some people need to be smacked.

2001 Camaro Z28 H/C/I LH6 A4 3.42

It must have been a junker. Like in the worst shape possible. If not, the guy is an idiot.

And there is no way all these cars were killed. I'm sure some of these cars are sitting on dealer's lots right now with a major number on the window sticker.

Guys,

This is the reality of war. Many brave F-bods lost their lives battling against The Mustangs. In the end, I think we won this time.

May They Rest In Peace.

No it wouldnt have mattered I was just wondering how someone treated it since it was traded in on this Cash for Clunkers deal.
IT is a Dam rare car.
I cant see trading a car in like that. I'm sure it would bring money no matter the shape it was in.

Fifty years from now, when you're looking back at your life, don't you want to be able to say you had the guts to get in the car?
