Camaro SS vs 2010 GT500

Still doesn't seem like we have much to worry about when to Mustang gets the Coyote
And look at the wheel hop of the solid axle

It doesn't matter so much about the wheelhop. The Mustang will weigh quite a bit less. It will be a good race

lol. I came here just to say that.

$30K Camaro vs $47K Mustang. If the camaro is only a little slower than the Stang, it's a huge bargain. $5K in mods could have the GT500 eating dust- with over 10 Grand left to spare.

$5K in mods and probably wouldn't even have to make it SC'd/turbo'd to spank GT500 butt.

I'm not quite sure I follow what you're saying!

Anyway, while I understand Mustang fans arguing to compare the SS to the Shelby, the fact is they do not compete with anything other than it's the best model you can buy from each. It makes no sense to me considering that everyone knows that there will be an even more powerful model coming to the Camaro. At that time, it will cement the SS to be the direct competition to the GT.

Even if I did not prefer the Camaro, I can plainly see that it is SS vs. R/T vs. GT. Moving up is SRT vs GT500, in which case both Dodge and Ford have Chevrolet beat -- for now...

IF THEY HAVE THE COURAGE TO Put it in production

but in the meantime I do agree the Shelby costs too much. Why can't Ford and Chevy take Hyundai's idea and put a 4 banger in as for the base model in a rwd car.here's what I mean

BASE Turbo focus/cobalt ss 4-cylinder $18k
V-6 Model for $22k which where it's about now give or take
GT/SS V-8 for $27-30k which again where it's roughly the same now
GT500/Z-28 FOR $35-37K
ANY AGRUMENTS/SUGGESTIONS?
