Livernois Built Shelby Steet Car runs 9's! Slip Inside

Some of you may remember the "GT800R" we built last year that was posted here. For those who don't know the car, some build photos can be seen here.

Runs were made at full weight (4120 lbs. w/ driver), stock clutch, stock TR6060 trans on a M/T 325/50/15 Drag Radial with 20's up front and Eibach lowering springs. It's a true driver, that also gets raced a lot.

I should have videos for the slips above next week.

Here's a video of me driving it at Milan Dragway.... being easy on it against a CJ

That's the one that brought it in, then took it out on the street next to the shop and proceeded to beat the hell out of the motor, followed by getting pulled over by a cop that was going by as he did one of his 1/4 mile burnouts? I think that engine ended up dead with a hole through the block, then your work started?

Same car... he was aware that the stock engine was on borrowed time when he picked it up. We advised him it was too much power for a stock engine, and he said he wanted to drive it until it broke then he would build it.

Here is that video

We work on Camaros too...

I posted it in the lounge, since it wasn't Camaro related. Myself, I'm into any American Muscle. I posted the 11.05 2010 Camaro pass on a Mustang site and they loved it.

I knew that he wanted to thrash the engine, knowing it was coming out anyways, and it provided for footage that would never otherwise have been gotten. The work you did on that thing is pretty amazing. And yes, I've seen your work on Camaros as well, thank you for being a sponsor that works so well with any American muscle that rolls into the shop

Props on getting the Mustang (Shelby) to haul down the track. That is very impressive.

Now lets get a Camaro to go a little quicker down the track..
