That's been known for a long while. Some even state it goes back to even before the DBW system and into the 1990s..

On the topic of the first article.. that made my stomach turn. Seriously. Sick. And you say we Camaro and Stangbangers drink too much domestic koolaid.

19 Alleged deaths?

Excuse me? Then what killed them if they kinda died of injuries sustained in a car accident?

Yeah..I stopped going to MSN for articles on automobiles.. They really lost credibility when I saw an article griping about how cars were more fuel efficient 30+ years ago than they are now. Their sources? EPA estimates.
Yeah..not like they changed their rating system any in the past three decades.

OH NO HE DIDN'T!

But am I the only one who sees GM's response to this issue as undignified, and the response of some Detroit media as self-serving and overblown? GM's opportunistic response was to sweeten deals for Toyota owners that would trade in for a GM model. There's a whiff of ambulance-chasing in that move, a desperation that's beneath this proud American automaker.
like Toyota wouldn't have done the same if the roles were reversed...

These people are ridiculous. They're the first to jump on the "hate domestic" band wagon when something happens, yet when the roles are reversed, it's so horrible that GM would do something so tasteless. Libertarianism at its finest.

All together everyone..

*breaks out tone horn thingy*

*Brrrrrrrr~*

Oh no!
Oh no!
Oh no! (Yo yo yo)

Oh no you didn't!
Sucka tried to play me, but you never payed me, never!
Oh no you didn't!
Payback is a coming, you will be running, forever!
Oh no you did!
Until I get my vengeance, I will never end this mayhem!
Oh no you didn't!
I'm a mercenary, you ain't got a prayer, you owe me!
Oh no you did!

(Chorus)
Oh no you didn't! (4x)
Didn't you, Oh no!
You didn't pay me what you owe me...
So now it's over for you!

(Yo yo, check it out)
Oh no you didn't!
First you tried to trap me, then you bust a cap in my a**!
Oh no you didn't!
Such humiliation will bring annihilation, at last!
Oh no you did!
It will be delicious, when I get vicious, tomorrow!
Oh no you didn't!
There's no second chances, you will do the dance of sorrow!
Oh no you did!

(Chorus)

(What a fool!)

(Alright, come on)
Oh no you didn't!
Better watch your back boy, keep running
This ain't just a game, I'll never stop coming
I got my arsenal
I put out the call
And when I finish ya'll
You'll be a ragdoll

Fool tried to diss me, now you're gonna wish you were dead!
Oh no you didn't!
After I deliver, your blood will be a river of red!
Oh no you did!
Better beware, when no one's there to defend you!
Oh no you didn't!
So many ways to kill, it's gonna be a thrill to end you!
Oh no you did!

(Chorus)

Oh no!
Oh no!
Oh no!
Oh no you did!(explosion)

...that last exploding part is a Toyota. As if you didn't already figure it..

This guy doesn't know anything about business. Why would he call GM opportunistic.

Business is always about opportunity. He's just stating Toyota's 'benevolence' as fact when Toyota more likely than not rested on it's laurels and felt it didn't need to go after the domestics and their shoddy 'quality' under the company umbrella when the media and their loyalists would just do the work for them.

Now the shoes just on the other foot.
