05-10 Cobalt recall

http://www.usrecallnews.com/2010/03/...ursuit-g4.html

WRRRRYYYY!!!!

My roommates Cobalt's powersteering went out on him a few days ago.
Made a joke about him driving without powersteering and getting buff finally.
Yesterday I find a printscreen of this and a pair of workout gloves on my bed.

P.S.
I know the article is dated Mar 3, but I searched the news area back aways and didn't find any mention of this. Just wanted to get the word out to any Cobalt owners who might not have heard.

It has been posted. The thing that pisses me off is the HHR uses all the EXACT same parts, and is not included in the recall....

It's been out for months. I'm waiting for the letter to tell me to go in and have mine replaced.
It's no biggy though..I've driven vehicles without powersteering before. You can only really tell when at low speeds/dead stop.

Yep, an ex GF had a Grand Am GT for a while. One day Power Steering pin sheered off during a turn under power, scared the hell out of me. Car was harder to drive until it was fixed but nothing to keep it grounded.

It's made in a factory owned by Toyota that also makes Toyota parts.

I have an '08 cobalt and am waiting on the second letter telling when to go to the closest dealer to get the part installed as well.

Still a GM part. There are plenty of parts and cars shared with foreign automakers without issues
