Your Chance to Be a Photography Critic

I visualized this shot while lying in bed and reading last night. Then I spent half the afternoon in Photoshop getting just the look I wanted. Here's the realization of my vision.

I like it !, Simple, not a hole lot of crap in it, the color's takes it further IMO.

It's serene, but doesn't really "pop" for me, I'm no expert, but I think part of photography is having a vivid subject; a lamp and a book aren't so much the case.

EDIT: didn't catch the link. I like some of the stuff in the gallery, but the lamp and book is not your best image/work by any means. You manipulate photos much more than I would.

honestly it looks all wrong, maybe you should change the lamp shade to a color like blue or red and leave the rest as is. Or change the color of the book.
