Identify This Guitar

My son bought a bass guitar at the pawn shop, now we're trying to figure out the manufacturer. I know there's a few collectors out there and players, who made this guitar?

I'm thinking Ibanez, but I can't find a logo like this on their guitars.

Miiiiiiight wanna ask these guys:
http://www.talkbass.com/

Cause I have no clue.

It's not an Ibanez, though.

Does it say anything on the back of the headstock or in the area under the scratchplate?

i worked at a guitar shop for about 3 years, it's an entry level brand probably made in Taiwan or china...your best bet's always learning on something like this, when you upgrade to something better the playability and tone alone will surprise you, and only make you want to play more, if there's any questions on guitars or basses I'm definitely the guy on this forum to talk to ...I'm a "Gear Head" in 2 ways, cars and instruments lol

Cool, thanks for the replies. My son has only been playing for a couple years, and has gotten decent in his playing. For $85 it looks like he got a decent deal on this one.
