Volt catches fire? Twice? Maybe, maybe not.

Results are inconclusive, but depending on the outcome of the investigation, there's suspicions of a possible Volt catching fire. I hope not, but we shall soon see.

Story here:

Garage fire ignites controversey over the Chevrolet Volt

While I'm personally not sure what actually happened, I do know this:

I believe Rob Peterson (spokesman/spin doctor for GM) is a moron. He first stated a standard PR reaction to the situation, and it was rather benign. Until he said this...

Really Rob? Are you THAT much of an azz monkey to try and politicize this? What a ridiculous and dumbass thing to say. You make me, a GM fanboi even, want to puke blood. STUPID thing to say. If you know anything about PR, one thing you DON'T do is politicize issues involving the company. You'll guarantee to turn off half of the country by doing so.

Makes me almost want to go out and buy a Lexus instead of a Cadillac for the wife, now. Almost. I can guarantee you it won't be a Volt now for sure.
