To Hell with the Hail

Big storms have pushed through the state. The whole town got pounded by 70-80 mph straight line winds & golf ball sized hail. Widespread damage. trucks overturned, buildings damages, trees downed.

The Siding of my house and 3 cars got pounded by hail. Thousands of dollars of damage. More storms are on the way.

Where are you at? Here in West Lafayette, all we got was rain. Just to the North near Delphi they are getting pounded hard.

Semis were overturned and the hail was 3-4 inches deep after the storm. It looked like winter on the ground. The houses and cars were plastered green with leaves. Some houses looked like they were shot with a machine gun.

Police are looking out for looters because of the large scale damage. Lights are flickering again. A new storm is supposed to hit again in a few minutes.

That really sucks...I'm sorry to hear that. We had serious hail damage that totaled out our cars and our roof not to mention devastating our landscaping a few years back...so now every time it threatens to hail we run all our cars to a covered parking garage one mile away. Needless to say...we've made that drive more times than usual this season. It's been a humbling spring for all of us I think. I hope you and your family remain safe.
