your first time at the track?

So i got a little bored at work and found my old photo bucket account. Got the video of my first time down the strip. stock 94 camaro z28 A4. 130k miles on it. ran a 14.623 with a terrible 60ft and I let off at the 1000ft mark. It went from black top to concrete so I thought it was the end.

I thought that was fast HAHAHA. Oh and the video was taken from a grand am GT.

Here is the video from inside the Camaro

You guys remember yours? Let alone have video? tell the story or post the vids

My first time at the drag strip was back in 1997, in a 67 Camaro that was originally a straight six. I put a 383 in it, with points ignition, a TH350, and clocked a 13.0 with a 2.1 60 foot time.... Not the most impressive, but not that bad either....

My first time at the track was back in in '02 or '03 with my '96 Impala SS, ran in the low 14's. I had video of the run from inside the car and from trackside, but the digital files corrupted a while back, all I have now are the memories.

It was a good feeling, but I happened to be racing against a good friend of mine in a 68 Camaro. I got the jump, but he clocked in at a 12.8 so I was more upset that I lost more than anything. At that moment, I didn't realize that I should have been proud of a 13.0.....

By the end of the day, my best time was a 12.6 after making a few jet changes, timing adjustments, and air pressure changes.

Garage
13 Flat is pretty Good..

Before my Modifications, I could only run high 13's...102 to 103 MPH....Some serious Traction problems...

Going with new Exhaust, A full MSD set up, and a K and N Air Cleaner...And Subframe Connectors...

But 13 flat .....Sweet....
