Caterham 7

So I was toying around with the idea of building a Caterham 7 Classic (about $26k MSRP), and have no idea which engine to pick between the Ford's Duratec and Zatec.

Any thoughts on that?

Also, the engines are tuned for premium 92 octane, which I have yet to see in California. 91 is everywhere, but that's the highest I've seen.

Duratec has more power, that should be a no brainer.

I'm not shoehorning a V8 into a Caterham - that's suicidal enough in a Miata.

Well, not at first.

I'm trying to talk a friend into talking his dad into getting one so we can assemble it and drive it. The guy is bent on an Elise, though - hard to compete.
