Can I ask a somewhat Dumb Question?

Can I ask a somewhat Dumb Question?

This is in relation to using both a Supercharger and Twin turbos on any car.

I've heard that Superchargers perform best in off the line accel due to them needing no spool up time. And I've also heard that Turbos are best after they've had a chance to spool up. So I figured that to get the best of both worlds, you could put both a Super and Turbo on an engine and have a way to switch between what was providing boost, that way you have the most boost possible regardless of speed.

Is it possible to do this or have I asked a pipe dream question?

Just determine what you really want. Mods get expensive, especially when doing multiple power adders.

Are you just daily driving, race course racing, drag racing?

a supercharger - turbo set up is possible. Switching them sounds unrealistic.

Thanks man. I thought I'd lost my mind for a sec. This more or less a dream idea for a car when I get out of college and have been on my own for a few years. I don't intend for something this powerful to be my daily driver. This car would be mainly relegated to racing, both on road course and strips. Yet I'd take it out for a cruise around town every now and then. A 5th gen LS3 stripper package, sport suspension, and this amount of work would be my dream "race car".

Turbos are the most efficient.

There are bi setups that use the supercharger to feed the turbo's for instant spool up and no lag. Gets expensive fast. Plus there are sequential twin setups that use a small quick spool off the line and then a larger when the get going. Most of the import twin Turbo factory setups are like this.

2000 Red 1SC Z28 A4 - dead for now
2005 Black GTO M6 6.0 - Split daily driver
1987 Silver Fiero GT - Split daily driver
