I want to personally thank every single one of you for the kind words, the thoughts, and the prayers. I've learned that this isn't something you prepare for, nor is there an instruction book when you have little ones involved. But with that being said, thus far we are both civil with one another, and have put the kids first in every decision we've made.
Granted, I know not everyone's situation is the same, and you can never judge until you've been in those shoes, but we both come from the same small town in Missouri. We went to middle and high school together, including a prom. So we both know each other very well, and were friends long before we were husband and wife.
Maybe it's just me, but I believe in my Heart that if two people are to go their separate ways, there shouldn't be any reason to have animosity, or hate. Yes, there will be tears, and yes, there will be heartache. There will be sacrifices, and hardship..... But at the end of the day, when all the dust settles, we are still parents. I will always be a Father and she will always be a Mother to those little ones. And the minute that we don’t put them first, we just failed as parents.
Once again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I truly mean that.
