Lounge Rules / Gentlemen's rule

General Rules

1. Absolutely no trash-talking or flamewars. If you don't like somebody's thread, send a private message or e-mail to the forum moderator stating your problems with the thread rather than flaming the thread starter. If you have a problem with something that someone has posted, either hit the ignore button or take your issues to private messaging or e-mailing to avoid hijacking the thread. There is nothing wrong with arguing a point, just make sure you state your arguments in a mature manner.

2.Do not post the following: web quizzes/surveys, religious and political discussion, racial slurs, nudity/pornography, paging threads, post-count threads, and use of the phrase "g*d ****". This is a clean, mature site and we wish to remain work-safe at all times. There are very few words in the language filter, please use good judgement in order to help ensure we don't have to add more. If there's enough demand for a Politics/current events forum, we'll add it in the future rather than clog up the lounge with it.

3. Please do your best to avoid reposting old material by using the search button before creating a new thread.

4. Spamming will absolutely NOT be tolerated in any form.

5. Please avoid posting AAG-type material. In other words, always attempt to keep post material mature and relatively on-topic.

6. Do not link to controversial topics on other forums. This is how interforum wars get started.

Multimedia
1. No pics or links to any type of pornography.
2. No pics or links to dead animals.
3. No pics or links to people being killed. (no war movies)
4. When in doubt, think PG-13 or better.

Notes
1. Under the guidelines presented, moderators reserve the right to judge which threads belong and which do not and act on that judgement. If you have a complaint about a certain moderator's activities, present your complaints to one of the forum administrators.
2. Have fun and happy posting!

Sticky: Gentlemen's rule

This is a rule of common courtesy. People have spent time building this site and staff/supporting member have contributed donations to this forum. So out of respect to these people; these rule are made:
  • Any thread/post advertising a product, forum, business or website will be considered spam. It is the discretion of the Forum Administration if it is an advertisement.

  • Threads/replies encouraging other illegal/unethical action will not be allowed. This also includes threads about using and/or obtaining illegal copies of copyrighted material such as software, music, videos, and sharing registration and license keys of copyrighted material.

If you are wondering what spamming is defined as; then here is one:

Spamming or intentional business advertisements by businesses that do not sponsor 5thgen.org are not allowed. Threads or PMs determined to be "spam" will be deleted or forwarded to the Administration, This type of posting could possibly result with privileges to our board restricted or denied without notice.

Lottery schemes being advertised on this board are considered Spam. Excessive advertisement of other forums is also considered spam, and will be dealt with accordingly.

Soliciting for Members of this site to go and join another site is also considered a form of Spam. Mentioning another site for reference or as an information source is acceptable but direct solicitation aimed at our Members to bolster some other site's Membership is inappropriate and subject to Moderator disciplinary action.
